The novel coronavirus pandemic has forced another symposium to be postponed — the 18th international symposium on Acute Leukemias (ISALXVIII), which normally brings together a unique community of clinical scientists and researchers in the field of acute leukemias every two years in Munich, Germany and which was scheduled to take place February 20 through February 23, 2022.
Today (January 11, 2022), I am pleased to announce the new date for ISALXVIII with Sunday, March 19 to Wednesday, March 22, 2023 and invite you to please note this new date in your calendar.
The aim of this first hybrid ISALXVIII Munich, March 19-22, 2023 was and still is to bring together a unique community of clinical scientists and researchers to discuss the most recent findings in basic research as well as to present the results of the most important international clinical studies in the field of acute leukemias on-site by also reaching out to all those who will only be able to participate online.
The scientific program will start on Sunday, February 19, 2023 with a main focus on basic research while the following days will concentrate on translational research and clinical studies. You are cordially invited to use this forum to become updated on recent developments in the complex field of leukemia research and therapy. Satellite Symposia and Meet-the-Expert Sessions will deliver further chances to discuss advances and perspectives of basic science and treatment strategies.
The Symposium will focus on the following key areas

- MS II: Clonal Evolution and Leukemic Stem Cells
- MS III: Genetic and Molecular Characterization of AML: Novel Markers for Diagnosis and Prognosis

- MS X: Immunotherapy for Acute Leukemias
